One perspective of motherhood that I have taken to heart is not letting life revolve around the baby's schedule. But inviting the baby to join in on yours. So instead of saying we can't do that because we have a baby, or he's too little, that's too late... He can sleep anywhere. He comes to grad school lectures with me... and doesn't even have to leave the room once. He comes to my haircuts with me. He comes to dinner and movies with us. He gets to do things like ride the donkey and pony at baby farm days. He is truly the happiest baby in the world. So it makes him joining in so easy and so much fun. We love including him on all the adventures that we can.
