5. Provide encouragement or help (helping will ensure compliance)

In practice:

1. ok, please throw away your garbage

2. Wait for compliance (silently count to 5).

3. What did I ask you to do?

4. Wait for compliance (silently count to 5).

5. Ok, I will help. Hold child's hand, grab garage with their hand, pull them to garbage, use their hand to open garbage and throw it away.
